Great Trading Books and Trading Movies (shows)
There are some great trader books and movies out there. Some very well known and others not so known. The following are not instructional, but rather look into the lives of traders.
For movies: Wall Street, Boiler Room (not really traders, but whatever) are obvious, but some other ones have come out as well.
Rogue Trader was a good movie on the life of Nick Lesson.
Million Dollar Traders was a British reality tv series which only lasted 3 episodes but was an interested look at some people trying their hand at trading.
Midas Formula was an interesting documentary on the rise and demise of Long Term Capital Management.
The CBC in Canada put out a tv show called Traders. It followed the lives of people in all different aspects of an investment bank in Toronto. Great show, but so far only the first season has been released on DVD. It ran from 1995-2000.
Books: Den of Thieves, Liars Poker, Fiasco, Mind of Wall Street, Rigged, Ugly Americans, From Pit to PC,
oh, and of course, Reminiscences of a Stock Operator.
